2022 Baird Chamber of Commerce Banquet

The Baird Texas Chamber of Commerce had their annual Chamber Banquet Thursday, March 24th. It was a very entertaining evening with an abundance of laughs. The highlight of the evening was the recognition of selected businesses and organizations for their contribution and involvement within the community.

Small Business of the Year- Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home

Clay Jacobs purchased Parker Funeral several years ago and quickly became part of the community. Clay is always willing to help in any way, and his kindness to those who are grieving is matched by no other. The community of Baird is fortunate to have Clay and Danni, not only as a business owner, but as a resident of our town. They are always there to support any organization or activity and their employees are always willing to help by volunteering and do it with a smile. Thank you, First Bank Texas. Community Partner of the Year-Mission of Miracles

The Missions has been providing food and clothing to the citizens of Baird for more than 30 years. They operate solely on donations and volunteers. Approximately 50-55 families benefit from their services each month, and during the holidays. Baird is blessed to have such a wonderful service. Citizen of the Year- Baird Texas T&P Railroad Depot Museum {Joann Allen, Lee Abernathy, Keith Jones, Tommie Jones, Debbie McElmurray, William Tollett & Roger Williams}. This group of individuals volunteer faithfully every day from 10:00am-2:00pm Monday-Saturday. These volunteers make sure the displays are to perfection. Also, when needed with extra volunteer work such as filling the easter eggs for the City's annual Easter Egg Hunt, they do not hesitate to help. The volunteer work this group of individuals provide is much appreciated. Thank you, Depot Volunteers (pictured William Tollett-not pictured Joann Allen, Lee Abernathy, Keith Jones, Tommie Jones, Debbie McElmurray & Roger Williams)
